Film hakkında
Belediyenin en yüksek mevkisinde bulunan valimsi bir adamın kaçırılacağını ortada komplolardan bahseden 9 samurayı dinleyen bir yabancının devreye girmesiyle başlar. Lakin bu valinin yeğeni olan iori yanındaki 8 samuray ile amcasını kurtarmaya çalışır ve sonradan kendilerine yardımcı olacak Sanjuro`ya rastlarlar. Yorgun samuray Sanjuro, amcası kaçırılan bir genç ile ona amcasını kurtarmakta yardım etmeye kararlı ancak tecrübesiz arkadaşlarına öğretmenlik yapar. Gençler başta Sanjuro`ya güvenmeseler de ondan başka çareleri olmadığının farkındadırlar. Zamanla Sanjuro liderlik ve dövüş yetenekleri ile her bir gencin birer samuray olmasına katkıda bulunur.
