36. Torino Film Festivali`nden ödülle dönen Pity, acıyı bir giysi gibi üzerinde taşıyabilmek uğruna elinden gelen her şeyi yapan bir avukatın çevresinde gelişiyor. Bazıları hüsrana ve kedere öyle sıkı sıkıya bağlıdırlar ki, acı onlar için kutsal bir mertebededir, aynı zamanda bir varoluş amacıdır. Zavallı’daki avukat için de durum böyle; her daim mağduriyeti arzulayan, ancak acısıyla “mutlu” olabilen ve yaşamdaki hiçbir acının bu arzusunu doyuramadığı biri. Efthymis Filippou’nun yazdığı bu hikâyede avukat, acıyı bir giysi gibi üzerinde taşıyabilmek uğruna elinden gelen her şeyi yapıyor.
