Film hakkında

Fütürist bir distopya hikayesi olan bu filmde toplum her biri farklı bir erdemi temsil eden beş bölgeye bölünmüştür. On altı yaşına gelenlere kendi bölgelerinde kalıp kalmayacakları sorulmaktadır. Çünkü hayatları boyunca verdikleri karar sonucu seçtikleri bölgede yaşamak zorundadırlar. Beatrice Prior herkesi şaşırtan bir seçim yapar. Bunun üzerine Tris ve bölgenin diğer üyeleri yaptıkları seçimden sonra hayatta kalmak için oldukça rekabetçi bir başlangıç sürecine girerler. Ağır fiziksel ve psikolojik testlerden geçmek zorunda kalırlar. Bu testler sonucunda değişeceklerdir. Ancak Tris bir sır saklamaktadır. Sırrı herhangi biri öğrenirse kesinlikle bu sonu olacaktır. Görünüşte mükemmel olan toplumunu tehdit eden bir çatışmanın hızla büyüdüğünü gördükçe, sırrının sevdiği insanların hayatını kurtarabileceğini fark eder..
